This character was inspired by a favorite childhood character from The Jungle Book, King Louie. In this piece, we find King Louie has achieved his goal to obtain man’s secret to make fire. Upon his head sits a crown made up of butane lighters, a flint striker in one hand and a small tiki torch in the other all cast in bronze. On his back perches one of his minions who has snatched a lighter and looks with amazement at its flame. King Louie wears a worrisome expression as he begins to feel the full weight of the power he has amassed and the burden of controlling it. He is indeed playing with fire!
